Central’s Adv Dip graphics student recently had the talented Leandra Fallis deliver an outstanding ad-industry presentation (PDF) . Leandra also shared some golden insight into how to tackle a “REDISCOVER ROTTO” campaign for Perth’s premier holiday destination, Rottnest Island.

What would it take to get you back to Rotto?

The brief is fairly simple and in true Award School tradition, using pen and paper only – no computer layouts – students had to develop a campaign ensuring the proposition (below) became the main headline or at least the focus of their campaign. They were then tasked to develop a full page SCOOP MAGAZINE ADVERT  and a 15 second RADIO ADVERT for:

Product: Rottnest Island
Goal: To show locals of Perth that Rotto is still a great place to visit
Proposition: Rediscover Rotto
