I am here with Brendan and Amie from North Metro TAFE. Welcome to the Skulls.

Thank you so much. Thanks for having us.

How important is something like the Sculls for our industry, particularly with students coming up?

This is the most important thing for TAFE. Having our students connect with industry on a night like this is fabulous, but it’s all based on this incredible work Ting Sia has done for the Student Skulls.

AMIE: The students love any opportunity to network and connect it to real outcomes as well. So incredible work with connecting with the industry partners to create these amazing briefs that they can get involved in.

And I guess it’s so important for us to help nurture that younger generation and bring them into the industry because there’s some absolutely amazing, incredible talent that’s out there. How are you finding the students coming through right now?

Really curious. Really interested in creating meaningful and authentic work. So they take this extremely seriously. We’re blessed that PADC were able to come and review the work in process to get rid of some of the cliched, low-hanging fruit.

So we really need their support. But yeah, top-notch quality students this year.
