The Australian Urban Design Research Centre (AUDRC) is devoted to excellence in teaching and researching the big issues facing cities in the 21st century. AUDRC is affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts at the UWA.
BHD played a crucial role in the roll out of AUDRC’s brand collateral, stationery, flyers and headed up development and design of their feature rich website. I also personally pieced part of the puzzle together and met the author of Boomtown 2050 by Richard Weller. A truly amazing book that every Perth resident should consider reading.
Just a taste of this amazing area of study makes me think about taking a year off to conceptualise urban planning projects filled with community parks along avenues of eucalypt-lined public open space and no roads, just bike paths…
